Stunning landscaping.

Carter Estate Winery has a wine called Penrose. It was named after a mathematician who developed aperiodic tiling. One of his tiles graces the label of this wine. The idea is “the golden ratio” can be achieved in wine, when the blend is balanced and cohesive. Carter Estate uses only brand new barrels to create all their wine to maintain the reserve status.

Something I learned at this winery:

A roller coaster wine travels through your taste buds, beginning with sweet, then tannins, then silky.
