Lush landscaping.

Lorenzi Winery is family owned. Don and Brenda are passionate about their vines and wine. Their mascot, the lion, speaks to the great honor and respect that go forward with the strength, boldness, and style of the lion. They work toward wrapping it all up in a wine glass.

Their exquisite gardens are worth the trip to the winery. Every color of bougevvilla will envelop you as you hang out on the patio. Roses enrich your experience with sweeping aromas. Take a picnic with you and appreciate some really fine wines.

Concetta was the quintessential server. She loves her job and it shows. She sees wine as a way of bringing people together allowing us, metaphorically, to see life through different lenses.

Things I learned at this winery:

If you have your grapes untrellised, they need to be pruned more frequently. This produces fewer grapes, yet the quality of the yield is superior.

If your red wine is slightly warm, it generates notes of spices. If served on the cool side, the tastes lean toward the fruitier flavors of cranberry and apple.

In the summer of 1999, 3/4ths of Temecula's grapes were wiped out by a bug — the glassy winged sharpshooter. In recovery, vintners began to plant vines more suited to the Temecula environment, giving them protection again the sharpshooter.
