SC Cellars is the only privately owned vineyard and winery in Temecula. The tasting room is across from their home. They have 350 wine club members and referrals are all by word of mouth. Their flagship wine “Tapestry” is a blend of all estate grapes. 

Things I learned at this winery:

Enhanced precipitation can provide some of the best and distinct fruit for harvest. 2017 grapes may produce some incredible wines. 

In viticulture and wine production, climate is a decisive aspect toward achieving optimum characteristics to produce a given wine style. This may seem obvious at first, but it certainly dictates which grapes are grown where. 

In dry years, grape roots have to “dig” deep to quench thirst.
